"Namaste Banepa Selection Board / Committee"

The committee is responsible for selecting the children to be sponsored, monitoring their progress, and fundraising.

Mr Sudarson Karki
is the founder of Namaste Banepa and the Chairman of the committee. He has a long standing interesting in helping the local community to increase their standard of living through education. Sudarson is originally from Banepa.

Mr Ratna Prasad Kayastha
is the Secretary. Having being in education for over 30 years, he was a headmaster and still is a social worker in the Banepa area.

Om Bhadur Thapa Magar
is the Treasurer. He is also Headmaster of Shree Gramodaya Middle School, one of the Namaste Banepa schools.

Mr Sundar Thapa
has been working in the field of public health education for over 15 years.

Ms Indira Joshi
is a teacher in Azad High School, again another of our schools. Ms Joshi specialises in teaching the hearing impaired and is qualified to teach in sign language.

Mr Laxman K.C.
is a founder member of Namaste Banepa and a major fundraiser.


"The Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations in 1989 reaffirms that all children have rights that must be respected, protected and promoted. Article 28 states that "All children have a right to education". In some places around the world, this just does not happen."
