Sunil
is 12 years old and attends Shre Swoait Ganesh Primary School
where he is in Class 3. His youngest sister also attends the
same school. The small farm on which he lives with his parent
and five siblings is not enough to support them so his parents
also work as labourers on other farms in order to make ends
meet. Sunil wants to be a doctor when he is older.
"The
Convention on the Rights of the Child
adopted by the United Nations in 1989 reaffirms
that all children have rights that must be respected,
protected and promoted. Article 28 states that
"All children have a right to education".
In some places around the world, this just does
not happen."
