How to Order a Bespoke Pashmina
A bespoke pashmina gives you control over the colour, size and finishing. It is a useful choice when a standard product is almost right but you need a particular shade, unusual dimensions or a specific edge treatment.
Choose the fabric
Our most popular bespoke fabric combines 70% cashmere with 30% silk. The silk adds strength, drape and a subtle sheen, while the cashmere keeps the finished pashmina soft and warm. Pure cashmere options are also available when maximum softness and warmth are the priority.
Select your size
Consider how you want to wear the finished piece. A narrower scarf is compact, a stole gives comfortable shoulder coverage and a full shawl creates the most generous wrap. Bespoke dimensions may also be possible when you need something outside the standard range.
Find the right colour
The MyPashmina swatchbook holds 100 colours. You can compare colours on screen, but a physical fabric swatch is recommended for weddings, events and any order where a close match matters. If the shade you need is not in the collection, you can request a custom colour: tell us what you have in mind, and we will check whether it can be made and confirm the price and the timing before you order. Matching a colour to your own sample or a Pantone reference is a service for trade customers.
Choose the finishing
- Hand-twisted tassels: the traditional pashmina finish.
- Open fringe: a relaxed finish with a lighter visual edge.
- Hemmed edge: a neat, minimal option without tassels.
If you need something different, ask before ordering. We can confirm what the workshop can produce and whether it will suit the chosen fabric.
How long does a bespoke order take?
Bespoke pashminas are woven and finished in Kathmandu. Production and delivery commonly take several weeks, and timing can vary with workshop schedules and Nepalese holidays. We will provide the current estimate and keep you updated as the order progresses.
Made by people we know
We have worked with the same workshop community in Kathmandu since 2002. That long relationship gives us direct knowledge of the materials, weaving and finishing behind each bespoke piece.
