There are over 65 people working full time in Kathmandu, Nepal to bring you pashminas and cashmere knitwear. It has been roughly the same team for the last 15 years. Staff turnover is very low, because these are good jobs. We have increased the wages by 300% in the last 10 years.
Many people have ‘Master’ as part of their job title which indicates many years of experience. These are people that care about the quality of the final product. The working atmosphere is friendly and fun and we always enjoy visiting, especially at picnic time !

Quality is one very important aspect of a loyal following but without the excellent customer service I’ve received, the overall experience would not be the same.  Founded in 2002 by Paul King, Mypashmina has consistently supplied high quality scarves, shawls and knits to customers in the UK and around the world.
Making top quality pashminas is a lot easier with a happy and dedicated workforce. The staff turnover in Nepal is extremely low. Our factory provides about 70 decent long term jobs. This means that the level of experience among the staff is very high which results in a higher quality knits and weaves.
Mypashmina offers the UK’s largest range of colours and styles of pashminas. We also make bespoke pashminas at no extra cost. So, if you are looking for a high quality pashmina, you can be sure to find it at Mypashmina.co.uk.
We usually stock about 1000 unique items in our warehouse just outside of Cambridge. This means you can choose from a wide range of pashminas and expect delivery on the next working day. We offer free delivery in the UK and some premium delivery options for UK and overseas customers.

Mypashmina.co.uk opened for business online on 15th September 2002 (Wayback-Machine)
Our principles and the way we do business is based on the following:
1. Be normal, accessible and not too corporate. This is why, when you phone you can always speak to the boss if you want to.
2. Be kind to the environment. All of our rubbish is sorted, we only use environmentally friendly AZO Free or natural dyes, and we use minimal packaging.
3. Offer the highest quality cashmere products at the lowest prices.
4. We design and import our pashminas and knitwear, so no middlemen are involved, which means we can give you, our customer, better value.
We also raise money for our favourite charity (www.namastebanepa.com) , which means that many nepali children have access to an education they would otherwise be denied. You can choose to donate something at the checkout. If you donate £50, we will too.
