The size most people mean by pashmina: wide enough to wear as a wrap, light enough to knot like a scarf. Cashmere for the warmth, silk for the sheen and the way it falls.
Details & fabric
70% cashmere and 30% silk, blended into a 28-count, 2-ply yarn. Both ends are finished with hand-twisted tassels.
How to wear it
At 70 × 200 cm — the most popular size. Wear it open as a stole or doubled through the loop as a sumptuous scarf. Other sizes in the same fabric are on their own pages.
Washing & care
Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a little baby shampoo or cashmere/wool detergent.
Delivery & returns
Free tracked UK delivery; faster options at checkout. Returns within 30 days of delivery.
About this pashmina stole
Barn Red is the shade of old brick and autumn leaves, a rust-toned red that feels earthy rather than bright. In this rust red pashmina the silk adds a low sheen that warms the colour further, so it sits comfortably with denim, olive, chocolate brown and a pair of leather boots.
The stole is 70 × 200 cm, woven in Kathmandu by the weavers we have supported since 2002, from a 28-count, 2-ply yarn of 70% cashmere and 30% silk. The silk makes the cloth a little stronger and denser than pure cashmere, so it drapes well while staying soft. Tassels are hand-twisted at both ends. Thrown open, it covers about two-thirds of the back on a bonfire night; doubled and looped, it keeps the wind off on a country walk.
Across the colours of this stole, buyers write most about softness, lasting quality and gifting. Irene, who chose Candied Ginger, found it “Really lovely Pashmina good colour and very soft”, and Patricia says her older pashminas are “still as beautiful as when I bought them”. A few buyers found a shade differed from the photo on screen, so for an exact brick red, choose from the swatchbook.
Earthy rather than bright, Barn Red is a brick red with a strong rust tone. It is mid to deep in depth. The warmth leans towards orange-brown. It pairs well with navy, denim, olive and chocolate brown. Over a camel coat it feels classic, and with grey it looks crisp. Try it with brown leather boots. It suits autumn walks, bonfire nights, country pubs and long Sunday lunches.
Size and fabric
Stole, 70 × 200 cm (28 × 79 in)
Our most popular size, because it is so versatile: open round the shoulders, or doubled up and worn like a scarf. If in doubt, choose this size.
70% cashmere, 30% silk
Spun into 2-ply, 28-count yarn, this is our most popular pashmina fabric: soft, warm and relatively thick. The silk gives it some weight, so it drapes well, and a slight sheen without being shiny.

Gorgeous Pashmina, reasonably prices and delivered quickly . Perfect !
- ★★★★★Michelle C.Rhododendron
This is my fourth order from Mypashmina - I still love my cashmere scarf (years later) and now I bring enjoyment to my friends and family by giving them as treasured gifts
- ★★★★★Linda H.Rhododendron
Lovely quality pashmina and arrived by post on time as stated. The colour was not quite right as I was looking for a brownish burgundy rather than a purplish burgundy, and the photo colour looked to be the former. Unfortunately it was too purple so I couldn’t wear it for the intended occasion, but it’s such a lovely item I have kept it regardless!
- ★★★★★AnonymousNatural White
The pashmina is for my wedding day and the off white colour is perfect.
- ★★★★★Sheila R.Natural White
The colour was perfect, bought a dusky pink 2 years ago for a wedding so knew the quality was excellent, this time an off white needed for a wedding, very happy with my purchase.
- ★★★★★Diana K.Milky Blue
I have bought several items from my pashmina over the years and have always been impressed with the quality. This pashmina was not different and, although it is to be a Christmas gift, I know the recipient will live it.
- ★★★★★ShirleyPaloma
I have purchased quite a few pashmina, both for myself and as gifts for many years. As always the quality is superb and customer service was wonderful!
